It’s that time of year again, when the party season is in full swing. The invites are popping in to my inbox for Christmas Cocktails and Festive Dinners with my favourite brands. This time of year is one of my favourites there is nothing better than having all your nearest and dearest around the table, the prosecco flowing wearing slippers and a sequin frock (can you tell I like to hibernate in winter) I have put together a look book in collaboration with River Island *gifted pieces to show you some of my favourite ways to style looks for festive parties, whether you are dancing under a disco ball, dining in your dinner suit or just lounging in sequins.
I call this the older sister to the ‘jeans and a nice top’ opting for a balloon sleeve shirt combo jumper and pvc vinyl trousers for added cool. If I was going out I would usually wear this with a black square toe heeled boot and a long black duster coat.
It can’t be the festive season without a sequin number. The muted silver tone of this two piece is super easy to style, I love the versatility of this outfit too, being able to tone it down by wearing the top with jeans / cigarette trousers and equally the midi skirt with a cream knitted jumper. I have styled the much loved two piece (so loved that it is currently out of stock) with cream heeled boots and matching nails.
This skirt is my new favourite thing in my wardrobe. The satin against the tassels is a dream combo. I paired the skirt with strappy black heels and a slinky basic body to keep the skirt the main focus, but I would also wear this with a statement shoulder padded top / jumper and boots.
You just can’t ever go wrong with a white suit. A go-to when I have no idea what to wear and I am lacking inspiration. An instant put together chic look with minimal effort – my favourite.
