A Weekend In The Country.

Is there anything better than escaping the city, and allowing your lungs to relish in some clean fresh air from the fields. Although I do live in my family home in Kent in a small village, it still is teetering on the edge between a mini city and a village. My boyfriend lives a lot deeper into the countryside and I absolutely love spending weekends at his home walking in the fresh air, chopping logs for the fire and being totally relaxed and undone in wellies and a big coat. In this post I have put together my style ideas for a weekend in the country, where ever that may be in the world.

The A/W Haul.

I am back from Paris with a few technical issues. I know I said on my Instagram I would be filming a haul video to show you everything I picked up for Paris... well the video didn't export and I lost the footage and it feels a bit weird to post it now! I thought I would still post a break down of links to everything I wore so it is all in one place. I have chosen a mixture of all my favourite colours grey, neutral oatmeals, camels and of course black! You can shop my perfect Parisian Autumnal wardrobe below in the shoppable link.

The Camel Trousers

My favourite trousers are a smart cigarette tailored style trouser. They go with everything whether it’s an evening outfit with heels or a day time with a big chunky knit, they’re fail safe. My favourite colour this season is camel and I love how it looks with black. This black leather shirt / jacket – belted ‘shacket’ as they say on Instagram. All links to my outfit are below.

Sunday Autumn Cosies.

I am such a home bunny, there is nothing better than being sat on the sofa after a roast dinner, cosy in blankets with candles lit. Here is my Autumn Cosy wish list.

The H&M Edit – Autumn Must Haves.

We all know H&M is my favourite high street store, the scandi, clean cut designs and reasonable price point, being on trend but keeping with a classical design. With that being said, here is a little edit of some of the Autumn must haves on my wishlist or my wardrobe right now!

Jewellery Must Haves.

It’s hard to believe that once upon a time I was that girl that never wore any jewellery. I had my ears pierced at age 11 and didn’t actually wear earrings until this year! Thank you to Astrid & Miyu for re-kindling my love for ear candy. You guys always want to know where my rings / earrings / necklaces are from so I thought I would put all of my must haves jewels in one place.

Sometimes I can wear a basic jeans and a tee outfit and once I have layered on a few necklaces I instantly feel dressed up and ready for anything. I have a few favourite necklaces that I wear often and on repeat, depending on my mood and the outfit of course. My go-to three favourites include the famous ‘L’ that always gets a compliment from Rox Jewellery, I love how the chain is quite short meaning it can be layered with longer ones. My longest necklace that I got quite recently but cannot stop wearing is the shell pendant from Daisy Jewellery, this is such a special piece as I was gifted it and I adore the brand so much. Now the gap between here I usually mix and match between a few different faves. At the moment I have been wearing this Scorpion star sight pendant from Betty and Biddy, but often I will wear a J necklace that I picked up from Primark, a dupe of the mini Celine necklace. As long as all the metals are the same (I would never layer different shades of gold) I don’t think it matters what collection you choose to display!

Rings are my absolute favourite jewellery piece. When I was about 13 I went to Brighton lanes on a Saturday with a friend from school and bought an old silver band for about £2, funnily enough it actually had ‘Reebok’ stamped on it. I wore this all the way up until I was 20 every single day! I have since left my little Reebok ring behind and migrated to much better things. My current ring situation includes two Rox jewellery rings, the beaded and the moon. A Topshop piece and my favourite leopard signet ring from A la Collection.

Since shooting with the angels at Astrid & Miyu my love for ear candy has developed. I currently have two lobe piercings in each ear and am debating a third. I am indecisive about getting a cartilage piercing so I have been wearing cuffs and looove them. Everyday I wear my Astrid & Miyu single plain gold cuff and the rainbow jewel cuff. I then love wearing my Rox Jewellery moon earrings for everyday wear and the gold star studs in my second piercing. But for a more statement look I will opt for Astrid & Miyu huggie in rainbow jewels and statement gold hoops which are super old Zara.

A/W 19′ Styling Ideas.

Around this time of year I start getting a little bit excited for layering, knitwear and chunky coats. As I am organising outfits for an Autumnal shoot (which will be coming out soon, cannot wait to share this with you) I thought I would show you some of the styling ideas I have had, if like me, you are already eyeing up pieces to go in your autumn-winter wardrobe.

Feeling Blue.

One outfit that I will never get bored of is a block colour, I adore the shades and tones that the colour blue entails. Here I have put together a look that I wear frequently throughout all seasons. Wide leg tailored trousers with a relaxed, oversized tee and delicate accessories.

Cat Got The Cream

Who says you can’t wear cream in the autumn. I adore wearing lighter shades in AW. Here is an outfit that looks so chic and stylish with minimal effort and styling.

A Monochrome Moment.

Sometimes you just want to wear a simple black and white palette. Top tip: Make sure your whites and super crisp and clean, no makeup or avocado stains, to ensure you look clean and smart.

I have a serious soft spot for some pinky hues and I love styling the pastel and bright shades together. I think the combination of satin and chunky wool is so luxe. But remember you don’t need to buy new pieces every season, utilise your summer wardrobe by layering pieces to keep warm!

I hope you liked this little Autumn styling edit ~ I think Autumn style is one of my favourites to wear, the contrast between comfy cosy and chic tailored silhouettes. Stay tuned for some more Autumn style edits in the run up to September. Don’t forget to follow my Instagram for more of my outfit inspiration.
