My favourite thing to wear at home is a midi dress, comfortable, easy to wear, minimal effort and looks so chic. Worn with trainers and a big basket bag for a Scandi style city look. Or pair with mules and chunky gold earrings for evening drinks.
As a petite size, I find that when wearing some midi dresses I can often look drowned. To combat this I ensure my hair is neatly behind my ears, or slicked back into a neat bun. I also make sure my bare wrists and ankles are visible at all times to show my true size beneath the material.
I am always drawn towards the basic, muted coloured dresses, but you cannot go wrong with a bold pattern to stand out at a wedding. Perhaps just for those days when you’re in the mood for fuchsia pink with red lobsters. I have never regretted any of the midi dresses that I have purchased and I will re wear them for years to come, whatever the season.
