On Sunday night Jack and I are off to Ibiza for our long awaited summer break, a time for no work (basically none for me) a whole lot of chilling and rosé. The only thing that has proved a little bit tricky when preparing for the trip is the fact that the stores are beginning to fill with coats and chunky knits not beachy summer dresses and white linen, so here is how I have comprised an Ibizan wardrobe fit for a boho-chic queen.
First up I gather inspo in terms of colour palettes, textures, outfit ideas and setting. I usually create two mood boards one on Pinterest and one on Instagram, that way I have covered all bases. I do this for all of my trips whether its a beach holiday for two weeks or a city break for 3 days in the winter, it really helps me to get an idea of what I am packing and the vibe I want to express through my content. I know earlier I mentioned not working but for me creating images for my personal Instagram, although is now classed as my job, is just to second nature and easy for me that it doesn’t feel like work, I really love doing it, so that doesn’t count.
When I am happy with the aesthetic I have comprised for the trip I will then start to source clothing and accessories etc for the trip. I have going for seven days so for me I will usually bring around 15 – 20 potential outfits, sounds a little excessive when you write that down, wow. But for me I just like to make sure I have things I can feel comfortable in and switch up if something goes wrong. I am always prepared.
Something which is really amazing is that I get to work with so many amazing brands so a lot of my clothing gets gifted from my favourite high street companies, of course when I post to my Instagram you will be able to shop all of these things.
Not including the staple evening and day time outfits he basics of my Ibizan wardrobe is:
- Bikinis and swimsuits (lots to choose from in minimal colours or patterns)
- A white linen shirt
- White flared suit trousers
- Linen flared trousers
- 1 x pair of denim jeans
- Comfy heels, a few day pairs of sandals, heeled boots 1 x pair of trainers
- Basic t-shirts
- It may be chillier in the evening so: Leather jacket, a few blazers.
When we get back I will be posting a blog post of all my outfits from the trip, my favourite places for eating and drinking and of course the hotel we stayed at. So, I hope you enjoyed this little pre-trip post.
